Happy Halloween!!

Hello again,
I am back!!! I bet you all thought i had forgotten about u huh! Well, truth be told ,i missed you every single day, which is why i am here again, writing to you now!!!

I gotta say tho, I’m not entirely sure what to blog about this week. I COULD tell you all about my trip to the city over the weekend, but it wasn’t all that exciting. Just the usual stressful driving through the busy traffic, and my homocidal GPS system trying to get us killed (again)… but yeah, i’m sure you’re not interested in all that!

So instead i will ask you all what your plans are/were for Halloween this year?

Seems Australia is starting to pick up on the whole ‘celebrating Halloween’ thing, and i’m constantly hearing about friends dressing their children up to ‘go trick or treating’. As fun as it sounds, i don’t think i’ll be sending my own children out trick or treating this year.
As it is, they only have a lolly every now and then when they’ve been good, or at a birthday party etc- so going knocking on random strangers doors asking for lollies and threatening them with a “trick” if they dont cough up the goods, is not something i really want to teach them!

I fondly recall last Halloween when i heard a knock on my door and found a ghost and a princess on my doorstep, holding out a bag and mumbling something about “trick or treat”. Seeing as it was also pay day eve, i didnt have any lollies in the house,so i ended up giving  them a tin of peas and a tin of fruit. I think they were a little suprised, but said thankyou and went on their merry little way.

Ahh gotta love Halloween! My cousin has started carving pumpkins! (another tradition which Australia seems to be picking up on). She is actually pretty good at it too, considering she’s never done it before this week! Might have to give it a try myself one day!  Might have to work with oranges instead of pumpkins though, as there’s more citrus trees than there are pumpkins growing around this area! Better yet, i wonder how i’d go with grapes!!

Well i better get a wriggle on, as dinner aint gonna cook itself! Will probably check back in later with some more poetry or photos of the kittens!! 🙂

Take care guys,

Raych xoxo

Back to schooollll

Hi ,Hello, just me again! (you were expecting someone else??)

I’m just sitting here, getting excited about school going back tomorrow! Woohoo!!
(Although it means getting up at stupid ‘o’ clock to get the kids ready AND having to make myself look presentable to go out in public… it ALSO means i get my day times back to myself again !! ) *I’ll drink to THAT !!!!

I’m rather looking forward to being able to write in peace (and during the day time too, wow!!) I may end up finishing the novel i started, and then some!!

Speaking of writing, i have been super busy writing poetry today, just jotting things down as i think of them. I find it helps keep my brain active, which ironically relaxes me ! explain that??!!

I know i have a longgg way to go before my writing is at any kind of “professional” standard, but i do enjoy it , so why not!

Speaking of things i enjoy, i really should attempt to get some sleep (early day tomorrow and all)  – hope you all have a lovely evening, and get a good nights sleep!

See ya next time!

Ramblers anonymous

Hi again! Yes, i am back!! I have returned from the city and happy to say i didn’t develop a twitch this time!! Yay me! Country driving is so much more enjoyable, untill you get a kangaroo jump out in front of your car – but that’s a whole other story!

So all is well on this end of the world. Children are all sleeping soundly in bed,and i am about to embark on another attempt of writing… not sure WHAT i will write yet, but it’s the process of getting words from my brain onto paper (or word doc) that counts…right!?

I just finished a little poem, ironically about “writing”, so there’s an idea of what’s happening in my mind tonight.
I have been drinking cherry coke all day too, so i may be a little high on caffein (apologies for hypo rambling)

So a quick update on the kittens (some of u may remember me blogging about their birth a few weeks ago?)
Well they are both doing really well. Eyes open now! Both are boys!! and yeah, fluffy and cute and all those other adorable words to describe kittens.
They have just started to leave their box enclosure, and wander around.a little wonky on their feet, but up and about all the same! Hopefully they will be ready to go to new homes soon. Just need to make sure my daughter is ready to let go.. she has become quite attached to the little critters..but no way can i keep them. I’ll become the crazy cat lady ,like on the Simpsons!  *shudder* maybe i could give a few away as x-mas presents , *insert evil laugh*

Speaking of x-mas- how close is it now! There’s already trees and decorations going up in the shops! crazy! Ah well, to be completely honest, i actually love x-mas. one of my favourite holidays! The look on the kids faces as they see all the presents under the tree, then the looks on their faces when they realise they’re all for me,and not them… haha…no seriously… they’re usually all for them! Too spoilt these kids! I spend 11 months of the year whinging about how many toys they leave laying around for me to pick up,then i go and buy them more for xmas! *sigh* please tell me i’m not the only one who does this??

Ok, that’s enough out of me for the night. I hope you enjoy my poem, and i also hope i haven’t put u all into a coma with my ramblings here.

I shall see you all next time,
Take care- Raych xoxox
