HAPPY NEW YEAR! Goodbye 2012, hello 2013!!

Howdy all!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!

Today is the 1st day of 2013! I am excited at the prospect that this year will be better than its predecessor.
2012 had its good points and it had its bad.

In the spirit of keeping 2013 positive and happy, i will just focus on the good times in this blog.

One great thing about 2012 ,for me, was meeting a friend for the first time that i had met online 2 years before. It was so nice to finally put a face to the name – not just a picture of a cute little dragon! lol!

*which leads me to mention my meeting of another online friend KAT – who i met in a chatroom about 10 years ago!!
-The reason we eventually got to meet, was due to our mutual friends Tash and Pete getting MARRIED! The wedding was absolutely beautiful and i was so honoured to be invited to such a wonderful event! *thanks guys xox

Another great thing about 2012- and my writer friends would agree – would be accomplishing a goal that i thought was way beyond my capability!
I completed a 50k novel for NaNoWriMo!

*for those who have no idea what that is- It stands for National Novel Writing Month. Basically, people worldwide take part in the online challenge of writing a novel of 50k words – a challenge which is really not that easy when you consider you need to write 1600 words a day to keep on track! (and with 3 kids running around, it was extra difficult)
BUT I DID IT!! I am so proud of myself 🙂

**just need to edit it now,and see if its good enough to ever get published 😛 we shall see!

One more great thing that happened in 2012 – My brand new nephew (my best friends son) was born on Christmas day! 5 minutes past midnight to be exact!
He was 3 weeks early, but he came out healthy and beautiful and my god, what a thick beautiful crop of dark hair does he have already!!
I got to meet him when he was 3 days old (had to travel 4 hours to go see them-but well worth it) – and i just couldn’t believe what a perfect little specimen he is! I wanted to keep him 😛

Luckilly for my besty- she knew that i didnt have the one thing (or rather 2 things)that her son needed, that prevented me from taking him home with me. (her boobs!) lol!!!!

I can’t wait to see him again! I hope 2013 brings many wonderful things and so many ‘1st’ experiences, for my bestfriend.

Well the weather is starting to warm up here- we’re expecting a few 40+ degree days- so i’m trying to prepare myself for those. My aircon will get quite the work out this summer 😛

okay- that’s enough rambling for one day! I hope you have a great new year!
Stay safe, stay happy, and tell someone you love them every chance you can get, coz life is too short!

xoxo

Back to schooollll

Hi ,Hello, just me again! (you were expecting someone else??)

I’m just sitting here, getting excited about school going back tomorrow! Woohoo!!
(Although it means getting up at stupid ‘o’ clock to get the kids ready AND having to make myself look presentable to go out in public… it ALSO means i get my day times back to myself again !! ) *I’ll drink to THAT !!!!

I’m rather looking forward to being able to write in peace (and during the day time too, wow!!) I may end up finishing the novel i started, and then some!!

Speaking of writing, i have been super busy writing poetry today, just jotting things down as i think of them. I find it helps keep my brain active, which ironically relaxes me ! explain that??!!

I know i have a longgg way to go before my writing is at any kind of “professional” standard, but i do enjoy it , so why not!

Speaking of things i enjoy, i really should attempt to get some sleep (early day tomorrow and all)  – hope you all have a lovely evening, and get a good nights sleep!

See ya next time!

Ramblers anonymous

Hi again! Yes, i am back!! I have returned from the city and happy to say i didn’t develop a twitch this time!! Yay me! Country driving is so much more enjoyable, untill you get a kangaroo jump out in front of your car – but that’s a whole other story!

So all is well on this end of the world. Children are all sleeping soundly in bed,and i am about to embark on another attempt of writing… not sure WHAT i will write yet, but it’s the process of getting words from my brain onto paper (or word doc) that counts…right!?

I just finished a little poem, ironically about “writing”, so there’s an idea of what’s happening in my mind tonight.
I have been drinking cherry coke all day too, so i may be a little high on caffein (apologies for hypo rambling)

So a quick update on the kittens (some of u may remember me blogging about their birth a few weeks ago?)
Well they are both doing really well. Eyes open now! Both are boys!! and yeah, fluffy and cute and all those other adorable words to describe kittens.
They have just started to leave their box enclosure, and wander around.a little wonky on their feet, but up and about all the same! Hopefully they will be ready to go to new homes soon. Just need to make sure my daughter is ready to let go.. she has become quite attached to the little critters..but no way can i keep them. I’ll become the crazy cat lady ,like on the Simpsons!  *shudder* maybe i could give a few away as x-mas presents , *insert evil laugh*

Speaking of x-mas- how close is it now! There’s already trees and decorations going up in the shops! crazy! Ah well, to be completely honest, i actually love x-mas. one of my favourite holidays! The look on the kids faces as they see all the presents under the tree, then the looks on their faces when they realise they’re all for me,and not them… haha…no seriously… they’re usually all for them! Too spoilt these kids! I spend 11 months of the year whinging about how many toys they leave laying around for me to pick up,then i go and buy them more for xmas! *sigh* please tell me i’m not the only one who does this??

Ok, that’s enough out of me for the night. I hope you enjoy my poem, and i also hope i haven’t put u all into a coma with my ramblings here.

I shall see you all next time,
Take care- Raych xoxox
